PTE with RMIT English Worldwide

As part of our effort to ensure health & safety of all our staff and candidates, all test takers will need to provide evidence that they have received a COVID-19 vaccination approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Evidence of your vaccination can include:

  • Immunisation history statement available from Medicare online (you will need a myGov log in)
  • myGov COVID-19 digital certificate 
  • My Health Record and Medicare online account
  • Immunisation History Statement (IHS)
  • International vaccine evidence (please see below)

Getting proof of your COVID-19 vaccination  

If you don’t have a Medicare card, or are not eligible for Medicare you can get proof that you have had your COVID-19 vaccination by:  

Asking your vaccination provider to print a copy of your Immunisation History Statement (IHS) for you.  

Calling the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809, for interpreting services call 13 14 50, to have an IHS sent in the mail. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the mail.

International Vaccination Evidence

RMIT will accept international vaccination certificates that meet the following criteria:

·       Issued by a national or state/provincial-level authority or an accredited vaccination provider

·       Written in English or accompanied by a certified translation

·       Containing at a minimum:

o   name as it appears in the traveller's passport

o   either date of birth or passport number

o   the vaccine brand name, and

o   the date of each dose or the date on which a full course of immunisation was completed.

Paper and digital certificates are equally acceptable.


Test Day

On the test day, please have this evidence ready as you enter the building and show it to the security team when they conduct ID check. Failure to do so will result in refusal of entry to RMIT campus. 

Practices have been implemented at the RMIT Training to protect the safety of staff, students and candidates against the COVID19 virus. As part of the overall measures, it is recommended for staff members and test takers to wear masks when they are on campus and during the test. Anyone exhibiting potential COVID-19-related symptoms will be asked to return home, contact their GP or the Public Health Hotline and reschedule exam.
