Radiotelephony English comprises two courses - one designed for pilots and one for air traffic controllers to improve their plain English use in radiotelephony communications in compliance with ICAO’s language proficiency requirements. Radiotelephony English courses are teacher-led training solutions that we facilitate and implement based on your organisational requirements.

Course

The course takes an interactive approach to learning with activities based on a variety of ground and in-flight situations. It focuses on developing listening and speaking skills required for routine and non-routine communication by using aviation words and phrases, as well as plain English.

Learning objectives

To develop pilots' and air traffic controllers' plain English language skills for use in radiotelephony communication to be able to meet the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements, and help them achieve ICAO Level 4 (Operational) upon completion.

 

Learning materials

This course consists of 125 hours of learning materials delivered in two components - the workbook (65 hours) and online (60 hours).
