The Student Experience team

Matt, Tilly, Elizabeth, Sally and Matilda organise activities, events and projects that enable students to socialise and make new friends!

At the heart of Student Experience is community and belonging. Matt and the team work to create a space that is warm, welcoming and inclusive, where students can socialise and receive support for a range of non-academic issues. Here are some of the services offered by the Student Experience Team:

  • Activities off campus such as sightseeing, day trips, parties and much more
  • On-campus activities like BBQs, art and craft days and cultural celebrations
  • Creative projects centred around community and belonging
  • Assistance getting voluntary work. Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the Melbourne community. You’ll meet new people and pick up some skills to add to your CV. It also makes you feel good!
Student Experience Team

The honorary member of the Student Experience Team is Ziggy the therapy dog! Ziggy is a friendly Groodle who comes to RMIT Training once or twice a week. She is trained to make people feel happy, so if you are feeling a bit sad, or just love dogs, come and play with Ziggy. You’ll find her in the Student Experience office on level 12 or in the garden on Level 4 when the weather is nice.
