Meet Devyn

Hey everyone, my name is Devyn and I'm Cambodian Chinese. I'm going to pursue a degree in digital marketing once my Business foundation coursework is completed. A few things about me, are that I am a very creative and a down to earth person. I don't like to restrict myself to rules, as I believe we can all thrive on our own! I am also very adaptable as I have a wild range of hobbies and interests. Those includes gaming, singing, drawing, photography-editing and dancing. For those who, like K-pop and PC games, please don't be afraid to strike up a chat as I'm very open-minded and I will be looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. See you around!

Meet Qu

Hello, I'm Qu from Bangkok, Thailand, and I'm excited to be starting a new chapter as a student here as youuu! I moved just a month ago and am currently an REW student, with plans to pursue a Master's degree in Marketing. One of my greatest joys is traveling and discovering new things, especially through outdoor activities, nature, and art. In my previous role, I handled social media marketing, creating online content and videos. As a student ambassador, I want to extend a warm welcome to anyone who may be feeling a bit lost or lonely in this new environment. I'm here to lend a helping hand and a friendly ear, don't hesitate to reach out. Let's explore this new environment together. ((: You can find me here.

Meet Jason

Hello everyone! My name is Jason, and I come from China. I am studying IT after completing my REW courses. I love playing basketball, going to the beach, and listening to music. If you need help or want a friend to hang out with, feel free to contact me anytime. It would be my pleasure.

Meet Sarah

Hey everyone, call me Sarah, or John, whichever you prefer. I’m currently an ADA student in Foundation Studies. I enjoy any and all sports, and listen to a lot of rock bands. I live life like an adrenaline junkie and would happily climb a mountain just for fun. But the real dream is architecture, I could draw buildings and say ‘architect’ before I even learned how to spell my own name and I’m excited to pursue a career in architectural design. If you ever see me around (I look like the picture above) do come say hi and I would love to meet you. If there are any questions or concerns about your course or just Melbourne in general feel free to email me and I would love to help you out.

Meet Mia

Hey there, I’m Mia from Cambodia! Anything is possible and if it’s impossible come and find me! I’ll be at your service anytime so don’t be nervous to talk to me.

How to become a Student Ambassador

Applications open in January and June. Keep your eyes on your inbox for an invitation to join the program. Alternatively, you can email the Student Experience team to express your interest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Ambassadorship will last for one semester. This may be February - June or July - December. If you want to continue for more than one semester you’re most welcome to apply again.

If you are now at RMIT University you are welcome to apply. Having alumni on our team of Ambassadors is a great addition to the program.

We generally recruit around 6-10 Ambassadors each semester.

Ambassadors help plan, organise and delivery activities and events for all students at RMIT Training. For example, you might help us plan a calendar of activities for a month, cook sausages on a BBQ, or help plan a student party.

They also help bridge the gap between the Student Experience team and the greater student body by promoting activities to students. This might be on social media or through informal chats in class.

You will learn new skills, for example, video editing, make new friends (Ambassadors often find their besties in the program), become more confident and a better leader, get the feel-good vibes that come with volunteering, and above all, you’ll have fun! You’ll also get free or discounted entry to activities and some free merch!
