Student Experience

Be part of the RMIT community

Life at RMIT Training extends far beyond the classroom. Community and connection are important for a rich and fulfilling student experience. Matt, Tilly, and Ziggy (RMIT Training’s therapy dog) are the Student Experience team that are behind the fun and engaging activities and events offered at RMIT Training. Students can join activities to socialise, make new friends, practise English, and build meaningful connections with fellow students.

Student Events at RMIT Training

Our Student Experience team works to provide a warm and welcoming environment for students to meet new people, gain new experiences and explore Melbourne.

There are lots of exciting opportunities for students to get involved in, both in person and online. The Student Experience Team runs regular activities and events centred around socialising, sport, art, food & culture and sightseeing.

You can keep up-to-date with what’s on via our Eventbrite Calendar.

It gives me a sense of belonging. It feels like home. Everyone is very friendly to you.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to gain work experience, learn new skills, improve your English, gain confidence and give back to the community.

  • Research indicates volunteers:
  • are happier and healthier
  • may experience mental health benefits
  • get a sense of purpose from helping others
